                            7 Spring Haiku 

                           ( Poems for the classroom)

This dark spring morning

Have slipped back to winter ?

All I see is mist .

                 -2-

Spring and winter fight

Two steps forward one step back

Spring will win for now.

             -3-

At last the sun warms

Nature stirring all around

Green shoots in my heart.

             -4-

Surrounded by life

Slowly burning from the dark

Winter hibernates.

                   -5-

Feelings deep inside

An optimism in me

Like all,these spring plants.

                   -6-

Growth and birds and plants

The world's colossal changes

No doubt spring is here.

                   -7-

Winter night grow short

The spring days gently expand

I see nature smile.
